Sketch of the Day

One of the Sketches from tonight.
Just made up a Character.

Work Space

Work Space

I seen on my new Blog. Some Creatives have WOYWW. What´s on your Workdesk Wednesday? They show what they are working on. So I told my Husband I have to have a Work Desk for my Art. He said just use the desk your notebook computer is on. Simple enough. So today I am going to set it up arrange it. LOL. Usually I work on my Art sitting on the bed, at the table, or on the sofa. I think it´s a good idea to have everything in one place. Just wanted to share.  — feeling inspired.

First Landscape Watercolor

First Landscape Watercolor

This is my first Landscape Watercolor. Inspired by a photo I took... I changed it some. There are things I like about it and things I don´t. It´s okay. I post it here from my mixed media journal. I painted Stonehenge... but that was more of a Still life to me. I intend to do more Landscapes.

 Stones

***

Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.

***

This week I am inspired by Stones. Stones are Rocks, Gems, Strong, Old and Solid from the Earth and Beyond; which can be Metaphoric to all of Us. Yet "Nothing is Set in Stone". What are the Gems, Stones and Rock Solid things in our lives? Some people handpaint stones; which is an inspiring idea.

I always loved the Stonehenge and its mystery.  So I painted a Mini Stonehenge and plan to paint another one about 6 x 9 inches (17 x 24 cm) this week.

This is Mini Stonehenge 4 x 3 inches (10.5 x 8 cm).
I wanted to draw and paint Stonehenge. I like mini art.
 I plan to make a bigger one about 6 x 9 inches (17 x 24 cm)

***
The past is a stepping stone, not a millstone.

***

***

I believe that one defines oneself by reinvention.
To not be like your parents.
To not be like your friends.
 To be yourself.
To cut yourself out of stone.

***

A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble.

Garden

This week I am Inspired by "Gardens". I was visiting a Garden Park (the "Grugapark" in Essen Germany) this weekend and was inspired by all the beauty and everything growing there. It was Beautiful, Blooming, Green, and well cared for. The Sun was shining; it was a beautiful day. Everyone should be inspired by all the nature and things growing around them. Reflect on Nature and Cultivation in our lives.

Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead.- Oscar Wilde

One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

A single rose can be my garden... a single friend, my world.
